The Academy of Little Learners is a vibrant, NAEYC accredited, an early childhood learning center for children between 12 weeks and 5 years of age.
ALL provides high-quality care combined with a strong educational foundation that focuses on providing children with the tools they need for future happiness and success.
Children need to be actively involved in their learning which is why it is our mission to provide all children with opportunities to ask questions, make decisions, search for meaning, be absorbed, engage in conversation, solve problems and resolve their conflicts.
My son LOVES coming to school and enjoys being with his friends and teachers. They have such a structured and dynamic daily schedule with a balanced variety of self-directed and teacher-directed activities that he enjoys, learns from, and talks about at home. All of the teachers in the 3s classroom are warm, loving, and supportive people. The combination of these particular teachers' qualities and skills have helped my son become a happy and interested boy in school and learning.
My child is learning how to navigate social situations, and for the most part, I believe that the teachers help students to learn and grow in areas related to peer conflict, self-confidence, and conflict resolution. My child has a love of reading that is nurtured in the classroom and looks forward to days where there is an expected engaging activity.
My child’s teachers are engaging and nurturing and understand what my child needs at this point in her developmental stage. Her teachers exceed our family's expectations and we feel immensely lucky to have them In our child’s life.
The Academy of Little Learners has provided a safe, nurturing and educational experience for my little one for two years now. I know all of the staff and teachers have my child's best interest in mind and she has been soaring ever since she started. I feel blessed to have found such a wonderful preschool that fosters my child's independence, creativity, and one that is well equipped with teachers who truly love what they do and the children they work with.
My daughter has been at ALL since she was 12 weeks old. We could not be happier with the school and the teachers are absolutely amazing. They care for her like she was their own daughter. She's now in the two year old classroom and I'm always so impressed with the interactive learning they do. The structure has been great for her and she looks forward to going to school every single day. We could not have picked a better place and would recommend ALL to anyone looking for childcare.
As first time parents, we visited many child care facilities across the seacoast. Everything about Academy of Little Learners made our choice an easy one. Our first impressions on that day have all been confirmed, as we’ve been so happy with the patience and nurturing our daughter received as an infant, and her growth and development as a toddler. Jaimee and her staff provide a safe and caring environment, which was exactly what we hoped to find.
I can assure you that the best decision we ever made was to enroll our two boys in the Academy of Little Learners. Jaimee Hanscom and her team of incredible teachers treat my boys like their own and give them an abundant amount of love, care, and opportunities for age appropriate learning every day. We are beyond thrilled with ALL and would highly recommend the center to any parents looking for a daycare where they can rest assured their children are in excellent hands.
There's a lot of wonderful things to say about the Academy of Little Learners, and lots that we take for granted, like how clean and thoughtfully laid out the classrooms are, and how much natural light they have, and how much our child enjoys the fun outdoor space with natural wood structures and a canoe, and all the opportunities to learn and create in a play-based environment. But the real gem of the place is the group of teachers who care so exquisitely for our children. For all of them, we are so grateful.
We've had the privilege of being a part of the A.L.L. Family for several years. Jaimee and her staff emulate exactly what every daycare needs: compassionate teachers in a nurturing environment. A.L.L. has proven to be our family's home away from home. Thank you! (And we love you guys!)
At the Academy of Little Learners, the philosophy and curriculum are based on the idea that children benefit from a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated learning activities. We offer a developmentally appropriate early childhood education program that meets the needs of the "whole child" and encourages the power of play. We facilitate and foster the growth and development of young children physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in a happy, safe and nurturing environment. Teaching children individuality, self-discovery, cooperation, inquisitiveness and respect for themselves, others and their surroundings are our main priorities. Combined with the incorporation of art, music, mathematics, language, science, and discovery, children benefit from an empowered relationship with the world around them.
At Academy of Little Learners, the exploration of different materials and processes is more important than a finished product. Children need to be actively involved in their learning which is why it is our mission to provide all children with opportunities to ask questions, make decisions, search for meaning, be absorbed, engage in conversation, solve problems and resolve their conflicts.
At Academy of Little Learners, we believe for a child every experience is an opportunity to learn how to be confident, competent humans, who can contribute to the world their own individual qualities and the capability to make a difference. Every moment of a child’s life is an unprecedented opportunity so precious they will last their lifetime. We value the opportunity to teach, nurture, inspire and foster those experiences a privilege and an honor.
As early childhood educators, we believe that every child is unique and special. Every child can contribute to the world their own individual qualities and the capability to make a difference. To help make this possible it is imperative that our children start with a strong and encouraging foundation from their families, communities, and teachers. Building this foundation means that the teachers and caregivers working with children provide an environment that is rich with love, compassion, and the willingness to develop as early childhood professionals so that we are able to meet the children’s needs. We believe it is necessary that people working with children know and understand how children develop.
We believe as professionals and caregivers it is our responsibility to make the children a priority by providing an environment that is safe, healthy and assures that developmentally appropriate practices are in place and being used with the children on a daily basis to ensure that children’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative needs are being met. We believe that every child deserves to be in a high-quality program where each child has developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and where his or her own unique interests are included and accepted by others. We believe that a quality program forms a strong partnership with parents and caregivers in ways that incorporate and value their firsthand knowledge in planning for their child’s learning. Finally, we believe that as early childhood professionals we have the awesome responsibility to encourage young children to be the best they can be. We can support every child in meeting this goal by providing love, support, knowledge, and materials to do so.
